Para raksasa fashion nampaknya semakin melirik dunia anak-anak sebagai pasar potensial. Setelah Gap meluncurkan BabyGap dan GapKids, atau Dolce&Gabbana dengan D&G Kids, sejumlah brand papan atas berlomba-lomba merilis lini mode khusus anak.

Belum lama ini, Versace membuka butik khusus anak yang terletak di lantai dasar kantor pusatnya di Milan. Butik ini menyediakan serangkaian koleksi busana dan aksesoris anak di bawah merk Young Versace. Seperti diberitakan Telegraph, butik yang didominasi dengan warna putih dan lilac itu dihiasi mainan dan ornamen ekstra besar. Ya, seolah mengawinkan Donatella Versace dengan Willy Wonka.

Roger Vivier juga tak mau ketinggalan. Desainer sepatu yang populer dengan rancangan stiletto heels ini juga dijadwalkan akan membuka butik sepatu anak, Jeune Fille, Maret 2012. Seperti dilansir Huffington Post,  salah satu koleksi Jeune Fille ialah ballet flats seharga $312 yang pas bagi kaki anak yang pertumbuhan ukurannya dapat berlangsung dengan cepat.

Terakhir, seperti dicatat MSNBC, Oscar de la Renta dan Victoria Beckham juga berencana merilis clothing line khusus anak-anak. Para pengamat mode nampaknya sudah lama memprediksi Vic akan mulai mendesain busana bagi anak-anak. Terlebih setelah puterinya, Harper Seven Beckham, mulai menggeser kedudukan Suri Cruise sebagai anak selebritis paling modis.
